Each year we take on a small number of extensions and refurbishments. One-off projects, considered in every detail — light-filled spaces that change how a house feels, and a result we're proud to walk away from.

Your project is specified, detailed and managed exactly as our Passivhaus new builds are — the most demanding work we do. Nothing is left to chance.
Sympathetic Workmanship
Materials matched to what's already there. Junctions where old and new meet cleanly. And a site left clean and presentable at the end of every day, because you never stopped living in it.
HOMES THAT CHANGE HOW YOU LIVE
Extensions and refurbishments
Remarkable Extensions
Not an add-on, but the room the whole house gathers in. Generous glazing, considered proportions, and new space that settles in as though it had always been part of the family.
Transformed Homes
A refurbishment changes how a home feels — the light, the flow, the way a family moves through it. Done well, the work disappears and the house simply becomes home again.
FAQs
A few things clients usually want to know before getting in touch.
How do I know if my project is right for G2?
If the quality of the finish matters to you as much as the floor plan, it probably is. We take on a small number of extensions and refurbishments each year, and we'll say early on if we're not the right fit — far better for everyone than discovering it three months in.
Can we stay in the house while the work is going on?
Usually, yes — and most of our clients do. We'll be straight with you at the outset about which stages are disruptive and roughly how long they last, so you can plan around them. Where it genuinely makes more sense to move out for a few weeks, we'll tell you that too.
Do I need drawings before I contact you?
No. Some clients arrive with a full set of plans, others with a rough idea and a folder of photographs. Either is fine. If you don't have a designer, we can introduce you to one; if you already have someone you trust, we're glad to work alongside them.
Ready to build something that matters?
Tell us about your project. We'll tell you what's possible.
